Venice City Council honors James Eppley, Airport Maintenance Manager, for 5 years of outstanding service
Venice City Council on their regularly schedule meeting of April 10th, recognized and honored James Eppley, Airport Maintenance Manager, for 5 years of outstanding service. The honors were bestowed on Jim by Venice Mayor, John Holic.
Jim was flanked by Venice Airport Director, Mark Cervasio and co-workers. Also, in attendance were VASI board President, David Wimberly; Treasurer, Paul Hollowell; and Communications Director, Sina Adibi.
Jim expressed his gratitude to his team as well as the support that he has been getting from VASI as well as the airport management team. His true Ohioian roots showed as he humbly accepted the recognition and immediately passed all the credit on to his colleagues.
Jim came to Venice after a long career at an Ohio School District and leaving behind friends and family to come to a new place was not without trepidation. “Everyone knew us back home. From people at the grocery store all the way to the parents and students” said Jim. “Venice gave us a fresh start and in five short years here we have been embraced by the Venice and Airport community”

“VASI Board appreciates the most recent investments made by the City and the support that we get from City Goverment and the community at large”, said David Wimberly. “As the voice of Venice General Aviation we encourage and appreciate it when our friends and neighbors recognize the fine job being done here at the Airport by staff”
