Why join VASI?
Just ask over 200 local pilots, owners and community leaders based in Venice who are keeping an eye on and SHAPING Venice General Aviation. Just see who makes presentations at VASI meetings about the issues facing you as a pilot, you as an owner and you as an airport tenant. Just watch and listen to who’s got a voice in city government concerning the issues and affairs that affect your aviation world.
VASI meetings also offer opportunities to accumulate points in the Wings Program.
How much does it cost?
Just $25/year lets you attend the monthly meetings, featuring informative speakers, updates on local and regional aviation issues. It also subscribes you to our monthly newsletter The VASI Angle and entitles you to special member access to our website.
For $50 a corporate entity can join VASI. This includes not only the ability to have multiple members within your organization to go to the meetings but it also includes advertising space in the VASI Angle and on our website. Your organization will get great exposure to potential customers!
Are there opportunities to get involved?
Yes! Volunteer for one of the many VASI committees, who are actively working issues from security, to communications, to noise abatement, membership development and more.
Or, be a guest speaker at one of the meetings, if you are a subject matter expert in General Aviation and have something to share with fellow VASI members.
When and where does VASI meet?
Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the City Hall Council Chambers, southwest corner of West Venice Avenue and Harbor Drive, at 7:00 p.m. (23:00 zulu). Informal after-meeting socializing usually follows.
Except for board meetings, general membership meetings are usually not held from May through August.
